Mike Crichton’s journey into tax advisory at PBMares is grounded in a lifelong connection to the DC area and a knack for solving problems—whether they involve numbers or finding out-of-the-box solutions for his clients. Growing up in Olney, Maryland, Mike was drawn to the multifaceted world of accounting early on, a path that led him to Virginia Tech to earn his BS in Accounting.
Since 2009, he worked with a top regional firm, contributing to client success and talent recruitment, before joining PBMares in 2024.
Backed by more than 15 years of experience, Mike brings deep expertise in tax planning, preparation, and advisory services for a diverse client base. His work with professional service firms, clients in real estate and construction, craft breweries, political consultants, and software developers gives him a well-rounded understanding of different industries’ unique challenges. In addition to tax advisory, he supports financial reporting engagements for commercial enterprises and non-profits entities.
